Celonis AI drives Cosentino’s credit management into the fast lane
Cosentino has successfully implemented an AI assistant for credit block management in collaboration with Celonis.
The AI assistant, designed using Celonis Process Intelligence, allows credit managers at Cosentino to handle blocked sales orders up to five times faster without increasing risk, as announced by both companies.
"Celonis process intelligence provides the necessary data and business context to make enterprise AI more effective," Celonis' Field CTO, Manuel Haug, said.
What's unique about it is that it spans multiple systems, gives full visibility into past and present business processes and enriches these with deep business knowledge like business rules, industry benchmarks or reference models. Forward-thinking companies, like Cosentino, are using Celonis AI technology to facilitate innovation and accelerate business transformation."
"Like Celonis, Cosentino has always been a leader in technical innovation. Implementing a Celonis-powered AI assistant for credit block management has been a game changer for our order management operations, streamlining our processes and resulting in faster, more reliable outcomes," Cosentino's Global CIO, Rafael Domene, added.
This innovation underscores our enduring commitment to drive business success by leveraging advanced technology, like AI."
Since 1945, Cosentino Group has been known for providing high-quality surfaces used globally in both iconic buildings and everyday homes. The family-owned Spanish company, Cosentino has developed notable surface products such as Silestone and Dekton.
In 2024, Cosentino embarked on an innovation project to optimise its business operations through the use of AI. The company engaged Celonis, a partner with extensive experience in process excellence, machine learning, and AI.
Within seven weeks, Celonis was able to identify a use case, extract necessary data from Cosentino's IT systems, organise it, build the AI assistant, and then implement it.
The AI assistant analyses each blocked order swiftly, collating relevant information such as order value, customer credit information, and process-driven KPIs.
The AI assistant also makes recommendations on actions like removing a block or keeping it until proof of payment for outstanding invoices is received.
Additionally, it provides detailed, fact-based reasoning for ease of review and validation by credit experts. Credit managers can accept the assistant's decision with a single click or reject it and provide feedback for the AI to learn from.
