Gallabox has announced that it has raised USD $3.5 million in seed funding to expand its AI-powered WhatsApp business communication tools for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
With traditional communication methods such as email and SMS experiencing declining engagement, Gallabox offers businesses the opportunity to leverage WhatsApp for enhanced sales and marketing. The company currently serves over 10,000 businesses in 45 countries.
The seed funding round was spearheaded by FUSE, with contributions from existing investors Prime Venture Partners and Neon Fund. This funding increases Gallabox's total capital raised to USD $5 million since its establishment in 2021.
Gallabox provides a no-code platform that enables businesses to automate customer interactions on WhatsApp. This includes creating AI chatbots for lead qualification, conducting drip marketing campaigns, and facilitating team collaboration with shared inboxes.
Karthik Jagannathan, CEO and co-founder of Gallabox, described the current communication landscape, stating, "The shift to B2C messaging is undeniable, but most businesses lack the tools to capitalize on it. Typically, SMBs spend enormous amounts of time and effort in building pipelines, which are often disjointed and not scalable. Our platform enables any business, regardless of their technical expertise or budget, to deploy sophisticated AI agents on WhatsApp, helping them convert every conversation into a business opportunity... within minutes."
Kellan Carter, Founding Partner of FUSE, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, "The world is standardizing on WhatsApp as the modern communication and engagement platform. Gallabox enables companies to meet their customers exactly where they are — with a holistic marketing, sales, and commerce suite on top of WhatsApp. Thrilled to partner with Karthik, Yogesh, Yathindhar, and the entire Gallabox team as they shape the future of business-to-customer communication."
The company plans to expand its international presence with dedicated teams in the Middle East, Latin America, and the United States. These expansions are targeted at regions where WhatsApp is a primary communication channel for business.
Sanjay Swamy, Managing Partner at Prime Venture Partners, reiterated his support for Gallabox, "Karthik, Yogesh, and Yathin have proven to be an exceptional team throughout the two years we have worked together. Their relentless focus on execution and great product made it an easy decision for us to double down on our commitment. Gallabox's outstanding product allows SMBs to effortlessly create and deploy AI agents and workflows that automate customer engagement, enabling business owners to concentrate on their core operations."
Gallabox's services are employed across various sectors such as education, healthcare, real estate, and travel. The platform facilitates routine customer interaction automation, allowing human teams to dedicate more time to high-value conversations.
The company is also developing advanced features to evolve into a comprehensive AI sales and marketing platform that will encompass multiple messaging channels. These developments aim to allow businesses to instruct AI agents using natural language, automating complex processes from lead qualification to service delivery.
The newly acquired funding is set to enrich Gallabox's product offerings and support its geographical expansion, with the goal of making AI-driven customer engagement accessible to businesses of all sizes.
