Thu, 4th Jul 2024

Freshworks has announced the appointment of Ian Tickle as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Europe.

Tickle, a respected figure in the SaaS software industry, will be responsible for spearheading the company's expansion efforts across the region.

Tickle brings over 25 years of experience in sales and management to the role. His professional background includes significant stints at both startups and major multinational firms.

Abe Smith, Chief of Global Field Operations at Freshworks, expressed confidence in Tickle's capacity to drive growth, stating, "We are thrilled to have Ian join us and anticipate his invaluable contributions to Freshworks' continued success in Europe."

"With his impressive track record, Ian will play a pivotal role in our expansion across the continent, making it easy for companies of all sizes to access AI-powered business software," Smith added.

Before his new position at Freshworks, Tickle was the Executive Vice President of International at Matillion, where he led business model transformations and talent initiatives.

Tickle's leadership was crucial in forming high-performing teams and fostering a culture of innovation. Tickle has also held various significant roles at other companies, including as President of Global Field Operations at Domo and contributing to Oracle's SaaS growth in EMEA. He also assisted Omniture's success in Europe, which eventually led to its acquisition by Adobe in 2009.

Tickle himself expressed enthusiasm for his new role.

"I’ve long admired Freshworks and am delighted to be joining to lead the European sales team," he said.

"My predecessor’s commitment to excellence and dedication to the growth and nurturing of our European customers means I’m stepping into a role with a strong foundation of success. I look forward to building on that and delivering value to our customers for immediate business impact."
