Freshworks welcomes Mika Yamamoto as new Chief Customer & Marketing Officer
Freshworks has announced the appointment of Mika Yamamoto as its Chief Customer and Marketing Officer. With a solid track record and over 25 years of experience, she will steer the company's worldwide marketing and customer experience departments.
Yamamoto comes to Freshworks from F5 where she previously functioned as the Executive Vice President and the Chief Marketing and Customer Engagement Officer. In this role, she governed the company's data, marketing, digital transformation and customer experience endeavours across all products, segments, channels, and geographies. Before F5, Mika held senior leadership roles in several prominent companies, including Marketo, SAP, Amazon Books, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Stores, Gartner, and Accenture.

In her previous roles, Mika served as Global President at Marketo, before becoming SVP and General Manager of Marketo at Adobe after their acquisition. She has also served as Chief Digital Marketing Officer and CMO of SMB for SAP. Through her career, Yamamoto has accumulated an array of experience from multiple senior leadership roles at various other companies, including Amazon Books, Microsoft Windows and Stores, Gartner and Accenture.

Introducing her educational background and affiliations, Mika holds a B.A. in Commerce, with a focus on Economics and Marketing from Queens University in Canada. She has lent her talents to the boards of BlackLine, the Rainier Valley Food Bank, and the United Way of King County. Yamamoto commenced her role on the executive team on November 20 and she reports to Freshworks CEO and Founder, Girish Mathrubootham, and President, Dennis Woodside.
