Headfield Solutions has concluded a two-day Global Sales Talent Hunt in New Delhi, featuring more than 300 career openings.
The recruitment drive connected sales and business development candidates with hiring teams across more than 25 sectors and 14 business verticals. Roles spanned sales and business development, leadership and growth, and specialised sales tracks.
Participants included fresh graduates, early-career applicants and experienced professionals. The format focused on direct engagement with employers rather than a conventional resume-led screening process.
Candidates were assessed through live pitches, real-time skills tests and conversations with hiring teams. Evaluation covered communication, persuasion, problem-solving, objection handling, business acumen and the ability to build business cases.
Headfield positioned the exercise as a skills-first hiring model for commercial roles. The approach reflects a wider shift among employers seeking evidence of practical ability in customer-facing jobs, particularly where sales staff are expected to handle international clients and support market expansion.
AI roles
One of the main areas of interest at the event was hiring linked to Headfield's AI division, in what the company described as the division's first public hiring initiative.
Openings in that area included AI Sales Executive, AI Business Development Manager, AI Solutions Consultant, AI Product Specialist and AI Customer Success Manager. The mix suggests demand around artificial intelligence is not limited to software engineers and data specialists, but also extends to commercial staff who can explain products, understand client requirements and support go-to-market efforts.
The hiring push comes as companies create more roles where technology meets revenue generation. In practice, those jobs often require workers to translate technical products into commercial terms for customers while feeding market needs back to product and delivery teams.
Commercial pipeline
Headfield said the initiative was designed to create a direct route for Indian talent to access global career opportunities. It linked the programme to India's growing position in business services and customer-facing functions for international markets.
As overseas businesses expand teams in India, commercial staff based in the country are taking on a larger role in sales support, client development and cross-border growth. That has increased demand for candidates who can combine communication skills with commercial judgement and adaptability.
The event also drew public attention through a visit from NCP spokesperson Anish Gawande, who interacted with participants. Headfield said the discussion recognised the importance of stronger employment pathways for India's talent pool.
Founded in 2007, Headfield is based in Noida and has registered operations in Wilmington, Delaware. The company says it operates across recruitment, outsourcing, business services, technology and professional services, with India-based teams supporting international clients.
Kunal Jaggi outlined the company's view of the candidate pool during the event. "The response to the Global Sales Talent Hunt has reinforced our belief that India has an enormous pool of commercially capable talent ready to participate in the global economy. What is needed is greater access to platforms where this talent can demonstrate its capabilities directly," said Kunal Jaggi, Founder & CEO, Headfield Solutions.
He said the company wanted to test candidates in a more direct setting. "We wanted to move beyond conventional recruitment and create an environment where candidates could demonstrate how they think, communicate, persuade and solve problems. The participation we received reinforces the need for platforms that connect Indian talent with global career opportunities," Jaggi said.
