Optoma India expands GeM range with projectors & displays
Tue, 16th Jun 2026 (Today)
Optoma India has expanded its product portfolio on the Government e-Marketplace, adding new projectors and interactive flat panel displays for government and education buyers.
The move broadens its presence on the public procurement platform as India advances its Digital India and Make in India policies.
Products now listed on GeM include several projector models and the latest version of Optoma's Creative Touch 3 Series Gen 3 interactive flat panel displays. The new display range is available in 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch formats, while the projector line-up includes models for classrooms, meeting rooms and training spaces.
The latest line-up is manufactured in India under the Make in India programme. Optoma is also preparing to add all-in-one direct view LED displays and 24x7 professional non-touch displays to the platform.
GeM is used by government departments, public sector bodies and educational institutions for procurement, giving vendors a centralised route into public sector purchasing. For Optoma, the expanded listing creates a broader catalogue for buyers in education, administration and workplace collaboration.
Product range
Projector models now available through the marketplace include the X400LveN, W400LveN and EH338N. The listing also includes the X309STN short-throw projector, designed for smaller rooms that need a large image from a short distance.
According to the product information, the projector line-up includes models with Full HD, XGA or WXGA resolution, built-in speakers, USB power and multiple connectivity options. The products are aimed at classrooms and meeting rooms where installation and day-to-day operation need to be simple.
Alongside the projection products, Optoma has added its Made-in-India Creative Touch 3 Series Gen 3 interactive displays. These are intended for teaching, presentations and collaborative work across government offices, educational institutions, training centres and shared workspaces.
The displays include productivity tools, device management functions and compatibility with the Google ecosystem. Optoma positioned them as part of a broader shift towards digital communication and interactive working practices in the public sector and education.
Local manufacturing
The GeM expansion comes as Optoma ties more of its India strategy to local production. The newly listed products carry Make in India certification, and the GeM registration forms part of the company's alignment with the government's self-reliance agenda.
This reflects a wider trend among technology suppliers seeking stronger positions in public procurement by pairing domestic manufacturing with compliance on official purchasing platforms. In sectors such as education and government administration, procurement frameworks and local sourcing requirements can shape which suppliers gain traction.
Vijay Sharma, Managing Director, Optoma Technology India, commented on the listing and the shift in manufacturing.
"At Optoma India, we are immensely proud to announce that our cutting-edge visual solutions are now officially available on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). This landmark achievement coincides with a pivotal milestone for our brand: our transition to local manufacturing. By registering our 'Make in India' certified products on GeM, we are reinforcing our alignment with the Government of India's vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). This step allows us to seamlessly serve the public sector, educational institutions and government enterprises with world-class display technologies that are engineered for reliability and proudly manufactured locally. This integration represents more than just market expansion for Optoma; it is our commitment to fostering a digital-first India by providing robust, localised procurement solutions that drive efficiency and transparency across government workflows. We look forward to powering India's public sector infrastructure with innovation made right here at home," said Sharma.
Public sector push
The company's stated focus is on technology-led teaching, collaboration and communication across education and government. By increasing the number of products available through GeM, it is targeting institutions that must procure through approved digital channels rather than direct commercial buying routes.
The newly listed products are available for procurement through GeM by government departments, educational institutions and public sector enterprises. The current range covers projectors and interactive flat panels, with further display categories due to be added to the catalogue.
