Paytronix unveils AI tool to boost hospitality marketing campaigns

Thu, 30th Oct 2025

Paytronix has launched Journey Builder, an AI-powered messaging tool aimed at enabling restaurants and convenience stores to automate and personalise their marketing campaigns at scale.

Journey Builder is the first tool to be released as part of Paytronix's enhanced Guest Engagement Suite, which brings together marketing automation, real-time insights and personalisation within a unified platform designed for the hospitality sector. The company's latest release seeks to address industry-wide challenges, including the need for more efficient marketing workflows and the increasing expectations of customers for meaningful, customised experiences.

Customised campaigns

Unlike manual campaign workflows that can be resource-intensive and less effective in reaching individual guests, Journey Builder allows marketers to design multi-touchpoint campaigns responsive to guest behaviour and preferences. By automating campaign management and messaging, restaurants and convenience store operators can engage customers with communications triggered by real-time actions, without requiring specialist technical expertise or complex system integrations.

"For nearly 25 years, we've earned the trust of restaurant and convenience store brands by staying focused and innovating along lines that matter most to our customers as they serve their guests," said Nonita Verma, General Manager at Paytronix. "Our clients have limited bandwidth for complicated tools or disconnected systems. The Guest Engagement Suite evolution represents our commitment to evolving alongside their needs-giving them integrated solutions that work seamlessly together and deliver real results, so they can focus on what they do best: building lasting relationships with their guests."

Marketing features

The Journey Builder tool is accessible via the Paytronix Campaign Centre dashboard, which monitors each customer journey and analyses the effectiveness of active campaigns. Marketers are able to construct diverse campaign types, including welcome communications, special offers targeting inactive customers, and personalised birthday promotions, using a drag-and-drop visual interface.

Through integration with Paytronix's segmentation capabilities, brands can identify and target the most relevant guests at the optimal moment. In addition, Journey Builder's decision logic enables automated adjustments to campaign messages, optimising marketing spend by focusing resources where they are most likely to generate results. For example, brands can avoid allocating incentives to guests who already visit frequently and can prioritise those who may require additional motivation to return.

Personalisation and real-time triggers

"Journey Builder makes it simple for marketers to get the very most out of their messaging campaigns," said Charles Gray, VP of Product at Paytronix. "Brands now have total control over their messaging like never before, and we're excited to see the new pathways they create to engage with their customers in meaningful ways."

The system allows for the triggering of tailored messages based on a variety of timelines and guest actions, such as the number of visits, specific interactions with emails, or reward redemptions. This flexibility lets brands maintain ongoing engagement throughout each phase of the customer lifecycle.

Expanding the suite

The introduction of Journey Builder is the first phase of enhancements to Paytronix's wider Guest Engagement Suite. As part of Access Hospitality, Paytronix is reaffirming its market positioning, tying its refreshed brand identity to the theme of being "Behind every great experience."

Future updates are set to expand the range of capabilities available to hospitality brands. Planned additions to the suite include a Customer Data Platform (CDP), integrated reservation management, self-service kiosks, and WiFi services. These will complement existing tools for loyalty management and online ordering.

"The CDP will be transformative as it brings together guest data from all our solutions-loyalty, online ordering, social media, WiFi, kiosks, messaging, and reservations-into one unified view," said Gray. "Our goal is to provide customers with unprecedented levels of guest understanding, helping them personalise interactions, create exceptional experiences, and maximise guest lifetime value."

QikServe, Access Group's solution for kiosk and digital ordering, is already available via Paytronix, with reservations and integrated WiFi soon to follow.

Journey Builder is now available for all Paytronix clients.
