Consistent Infosystems has opened its first Surveillance Experience Zone in Prayagraj, a move aimed at supporting its surveillance and security business in India.
The new centre in Civil Lines serves as a demonstration space where customers and channel partners can try products in person. Visitors can explore the company's range of CCTV surveillance, security, networking and gaming products through live demonstrations and product displays.
The launch gives system integrators, installers, dealers and distributors a physical site to examine products before placing orders or recommending deployments. It also broadens the company's push to expand its presence in surveillance and related electronics beyond product distribution.
Senior executives at the opening included Chandan Kumar, Vice President - Sales; Pawan Kumar Singh, Product Head - Surveillance; Ritesh Das, Marketing Head; and Govind Kumar Singh, Product Head - Gaming. During the launch, they met customers and visitors and discussed the latest products across surveillance, security, networking and gaming.
Consistent followed the opening with a dealer and distributor meeting attended by more than 120 channel partners from the region. The gathering featured demonstrations of products across IT hardware, surveillance, mobility, electronics and gaming, along with discussions on market opportunities.
Channel focus
The Prayagraj launch highlights the importance of indirect sales networks in India's technology hardware and security equipment market. Vendors in these categories often rely on distributors, resellers, installers and system integrators to reach small businesses, institutions and households across a fragmented national market.
Experience centres have become a common way for brands to bridge the gap between online catalogues and field sales. In surveillance and networking, buyers often want to compare image quality, hardware design and installation options in person before making purchasing decisions.
For Consistent, the centre also provides a venue to present a broader portfolio under one roof. The company operates across several categories rather than as a single-product vendor, covering IT hardware, networking, surveillance, print consumables, electronics and gaming products.
"The inauguration of the first Surveillance Experience Zone is an important milestone for us. As the demand for intelligent surveillance and networking solutions continues to grow, we wanted to create a destination where customers and partners can experience our products firsthand before making deployment decisions. This experience centre reflects our commitment to innovation, partner empowerment and delivering world-class technology solutions to the Indian market," said Yogesh Agrawal, CMD and Co-Founder, Consistent Infosystems.
National footprint
Consistent traces its origins to New Delhi and has expanded across India through branch offices, service centres and a partner network. According to the company, it now has more than 25 branches, more than 93 service centres, more than 400 direct employees and 3,795 channel partners nationwide, and exports to more than 17 countries.
Its catalogue includes more than 693 products. That breadth suggests Consistent is trying to build scale by offering resellers multiple product lines, an approach that can help partners consolidate sourcing and after-sales support through a single supplier.
India's surveillance market has become increasingly competitive as demand rises from residential users, retailers, offices and public institutions. Networking equipment and gaming accessories have also attracted a growing base of distributors and specialist retailers, giving hardware brands an incentive to strengthen local engagement with the trade.
By opening a dedicated experience site in Prayagraj rather than a larger metro, Consistent appears to be targeting growth in regional markets, where channel relationships can play a decisive role in brand visibility and sales. Cities outside the largest urban centres have become more important to electronics vendors as they seek new customers and lower-cost routes to expansion.
The dealer and distributor meeting held after the opening offered another sign of that strategy. With more than 120 channel partners attending, the event gave the company a forum to present products directly to the trade and discuss how it plans to position itself in categories ranging from surveillance to gaming.
The new centre is designed to give customers and partners a dedicated place to explore the company's product range under one roof.
