Hyland boosts cloud suite with new AI tools & deeper platform links
Hyland has introduced a series of updates to its cloud-based content management suite, targeting organisations seeking improved integration capabilities and more advanced AI tools for handling business documents and workflows.
Platform integrations
The company has rolled out new integrations for major enterprise platforms. Salesforce, Guidewire ClaimCentre, SAP SuccessFactors, and Workday users will now be able to access Hyland's content management capabilities directly within their existing software interfaces. This is intended to simplify how users locate, manage, and secure documentation tied to key business processes.
The integration with Salesforce enables customers to import, search for, and manage files without leaving the CRM environment. For the insurance sector, the Guidewire ClaimCentre integration is designed to speed up claims processing by reducing the need for staff to toggle between systems when searching for claim-related documents.
Employee management is another focus. The upgrade for SAP SuccessFactors provides content services within the HR platform, while the Workday integration aims to streamline access to employee and financial documents from within the Workday Human Capital Management and finance modules.
AI and automation enhancements
Hyland is enhancing its suite of AI-driven content intelligence and automation tools. Updates to Hyland Knowledge Enrichment allow organisations to feed enriched data into content lakes and automatically identify and mask personally identifiable information. The improved Knowledge Discovery tool delivers a more refined experience and allows businesses to set custom guardrails on AI-generated content, supporting privacy and compliance.
The Hyland Automate tool now offers advanced generative AI capabilities for automating form and workflow design. Updates to Intelligent Document Processing provide new features for interpreting documents, such as extracting context or drawing inferences from incomplete information-a process Hyland refers to as agentic decision-making.
Content management upgrades
New releases across Hyland's content management offerings include features to help organisations keep their systems secure and up to date. For OnBase customers, a cloud update service supports automated monthly software maintenance, aimed at ensuring compliance and reliability across deployments.
Customers using Nuxeo will see performance and scalability enhancements through a decoupled, open-source search architecture, as well as retention and compliance tools for users with large data requirements, including support for Google Cloud Platform and faster mass uploads. Alfresco, another Hyland platform, is getting dashboard improvements, higher performance at scale, and a new SAP Information Lifecycle Management connector for managing SAP-related documentation and reducing storage costs.
